Stephen James Leggett unexpectedly returned home to his Heavenly Father on January 7th, 2020. He was born January 16, 1988 in Norwich, England, the son of Kevin and Gloria Leggett. He lived there until he moved to Utah to marry his sweetheart, the former Katelyn Naylor of Pleasant Grove, UT.
While living in England, he worked for Gobur Caravans Limited. He faithfully worked there, alongside his father, for 10 years. After coming to Utah, he worked as a manager for Kangaroo Zoo. This was a job that he thrived in. Customers would always come in and be disappointed if he was not scheduled to work.
His love of drawing led to his meeting his wife online on an art web site. The meeting turned into a relationship that spanned 10 years in time and 5000 miles in distance. After many forms of paperwork, lots of waiting, checking, replacing lost paperwork, and many arguments with the customs offices, their marriage visa was approved. They were married July 18, 2015 and made their home in Pleasant Grove.
Stephen was a lover of nature, enjoying the many deer that frequented the neighborhood. And animals would instantly become his friend, whether the animal wanted to or not. He enjoyed video games and truly loved Pokémon. This led to him and Katelyn exploring the neighborhood hand in hand in search of the elusive and rare Pokémon.
Stephen had a quirky sense of humor and would joke about the differences between food, customs, and language between the United States and England. His British accent was one of his endearing qualities and was loved by all, even the customers at Kangaroo Zoo who thought he was from Australia. Always known for his smile and sense of humor, he was loved by family, friends, co-workers, and all those who had the good fortune of meeting him.
He is survived by his wife, Katelyn (Naylor) Leggett of Pleasant Grove, UT, his Parents, Kevin and Gloria Leggett of Norwich, England, an older brother, Matthew Leggett and his wife Kelly along with their three children, Jack, Poppy, and Ava, as well by his Father in Law Peter Naylor, brother in laws Jerry Naylor, Brian Naylor, Connor Naylor, and sister in laws Amber Reynolds, Carli Petrie, and Ryan Penrod along with their spouses as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother in law Shaunna (Pesnell) Naylor.
