Stuart D Nash, husband, father, and friend, passed away March 30, 2021. Stuart was born July 9, 1928 to Weldon and Veleta Nash in Preston, Idaho. He attended pharmacy school at Idaho State University and met the love of his life, LaRue Byrd. They were married August 16, 1950, and sealed in the Logan Temple for time and eternity. He enlisted in the U S Air Force. He traveled the world and served his country as a military pharmacist.
Eventually, he settled in Santa Rosa, California, and raised his family. Among his many adventures, he managed Tuttle’s Pharmacy for 17 years, then moved to Utah and worked as a Pharmacist for the Utah State Developmental Center until 2011.
Everyone who knew Stuart knew him as a kind, hard-working man. He loved woodworking, gardening and traveling. He always put others before himself. Stuart was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Bishop, Stake Clerk, and many other callings. He also loved serving as a temple worker for over 20 years in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. He relied on the Lord as he did his service and trusted Him deeply. Stuart will be welcomed lovingly by Him.
He lives on through his wife LaRue, three children: Deanne, Darren and Dirk, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family funeral services will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 10:00 -10:45 am prior to services. For those who would like to watch the funeral remotely, please follow the link above.
