Thomas Craig Larsen, 67, beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on March 7, 2021 in Provo, Utah with his family by his side. Craig was born on September 25, 1953 in Greece and was adopted by his parents Tom and Ella Larsen of Pleasant Grove when he was 2 1/2 years old.
Craig grew up in Pleasant Grove and attended Pleasant Grove High School. Craig was mechanically minded from a very young age and developed a life long love of engines and automobiles as a young man. Craig, or Tom as most of his friends knew him, worked as a car salesman for many years. He also owned his own business, The Engine Shop in Provo rebuilding engines. Later he moved to Idaho and was a partner in a car dealership in Idaho Falls called "Silverado Sales". He loved derby cars and built and raced in many derbies. He enjoyed restoring late model cars and especially loved his late model "muscle cars" and was very talented in his profession.
Craig loved his family very much and was always excited for family get togethers. He is survived by his second mother Barbara Larsen, daughter: Chantel Larsen and grand daughter Olive, siblings: Susan Larsen-Nelson (Earl), Paul (Patricia) Larsen, many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly and few remaining cousins.
Preceded in death by father: Thomas Calvin Larsen, mother: Ella Adams, sisters: Sandra Helm, and Ruthan Nielsen.
A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, March 23,2021 at 5:00 pm MST at the Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 S 300 E Pleasant Grove, UT. Due to Covid 19 concerns please follow state regulations by wearing a mask and social distancing. Craig donated his body to the University of Utah Body Donor Program to help Doctors and Nurses further their education and provide research for curing disease. His cremains will be interred at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery at a later date and will be announced at that time, so all who desire can join us as we remember and honor him without the current Covid restriction limits.
In lieu of flowers the requests that donations be made to Olpin Family Mortuary or directly to the family to assist with the funeral expenses.
